Kayaking at Lutsivatnet outside Sandnes

Posted by JM on Jun 26, 2012

On my first ever trip to Norway in June 2012, Hildegunn took me kayaking at Lutsivatnet, one of the local lakes in the Sandnes municipality not far from her childhood home.

Lutsivatnet is one of four interconnected lakes in the Ims/Lutsi waterway system. Each lake has its own stunning scenery, starting at Vatne and ending at Ims. There are many beaches, narrow straits, islands and bays in between to stop at and explore. You can even paddle out to Dansen and camp overnight. Read more about Dansen in the next post.
