Running den Gamle Ridevegen

Posted by JM on Nov 06, 2018

After a week of fog there was a tiny break in the clouds today.

Training for Furuberget Endurance.

Yesterday afternoon on Den gamle Ridevegen (the old riding trail) in Søndre Land municipality which connects Fluberg down at Randsfjorden to Landåsbygda. The trail has been in use for about 1,000 years, and also connects Søndre Land to the Bergenske Kongevegen (the Bergen King’s Road), which travellers took from Oslo to Bergen over Filefjell mountain pass. The trail is quite spectacular with several info boards telling the history of the local sights. Worth a hike, ride or a run
