Hildegunn didn’t believe it when I said she’d see one as soon as we landed. The unique sculpture in the Hobart airport baggage claim area was made by local artist Ruth Waterhouse, and contains several cheeky devils, a lizard and a frog.

After a pretty spectacular descent into Hobart, our arrival was a bit like stepping back in time, especially after the hustle and bustle of Sydney and Melbourne. We took a stroll around Hobart city, and with a stiff sea breeze rolling in off the Southern Ocean, and the temperature dropping, we realised that all the wool we’ve been carrying around for the past five months, will soon come in very handy down here.
