It was a fresh 4 degrees as we headed out in semi darkness before sunrise to Huntsman Lake and Meander Dam. Fortunately we could use the boat ramp to enter the water and avoid going through the mud to the lake. A run up and down the ramp to warm up was much needed, then clothes came off and the swimming began. The braver amazons dived into the chilly water, but all agreed that the after effects were invigorating and worth the cold rush. After the obligatory three rounds of swimming, we headed to Tenchi Farm for the much appreciated wood-fired sauna in the beautiful surroundings at the foot of Mother Cummings Peak. The perfect way to start the new solar year and the morning with complete immersion in mother nature.
