The weather played a big role in our weekend at the Tasman Peninsula, but what would Tasmania’s rugged coastline be without rain, wind and sometimes sleet? We wouldn’t have had those massive waves crashing in or the intense smell of eucalyptus in the forest. It definitely all added to the atmosphere.
We started out with a hike to Shipstern Bluff on the Saturday, then constant showers put off our hike to Cape Raoul on the Sunday, so we opted for Tasman Arch and Waterfall Bay instead.
Our lovely camp chef Anna looked after us once again with a huge pot of veggie stew, and games after dinner.
It was a fantastic weekend with a fantastic crew of women, thanks to Kellie, Kylie, Sarah, Hildegunn and Anna! Like Kylie said it was like a family get together, with great company, great vibes and amazing Tasmania all mixed in together.
I made a video of the first hike to Shipstern Bluff and hopefully will upload it onto our YouTube channel for those who couldn’t join and would like to experience it.
