Our WWOOFing assignment near the Macedon Ranges at Annie’s home, looking after injured native wildlife.

At a wildlife shelter 40 mins north of Melbourne, where we’ve been WWOOFing for the past four days with Annie, our host, whose been looking after injured wildlife, mainly kangaroos and wombats, for the past 18 years.

From her we’ve learned what it entails to become a wildlife foster carer, and how to work with the crazy laws and government mentality down under, which don’t do much to protect native wildlife, or assist those caring for them.
